I did get the desktop picture on the TV but safari wouldn't work. I guess so).Whala - Video flashed on the screen and I was able to get it set back up again to my dual monitor ways.WHEW! I've had to do this a few times with older monitors at work. useful reference I hope it's just the way that TV wants the signal and not the adapter.
Since the set reports something back on the HDMI cable, there may be confusion and in any case it would be hard to get a desirable 1:1 pixel display. Lower-resolution images on some web pages might also appear "softer" when viewed on a Retina display. The issue had to do with the fact that I am using multiple users and Fast User Switching. Any further suggestions???
The exact same thing started happening to me last week, I've tried replacing the HDMI cable and Mini DisplayPort, nothing works. I have to unplug and reinsert the adapter to get the display to be recognized. Click the Output tab and then select your HDMI device from the list. Unplug the HDMI cable from the Mac and plug it in again.
